2026 Piano and Chamber Music Festival

The 2026 Festival will again take place on the beautiful campus of Franklin & Marshall College, with concerts held in the Barshinger Center for the Musical Arts. All events are conveniently located on the F&M College campus, providing convenient housing and transportation for students as well as free parking for concert patrons.

The goal of the festival is to provide something for everyone by combining an intensive educational program with an outstanding concert series presented by world-class pianists. In 2026, we are so honored to have incomparable pianists such as our artist-in-residence, Alexander Kobrin, as well as Joanne Polk, Asiya Korepanova, Brandon Martinez, and Jeffrey Langford to give concerts, lectures, and masterclasses. We invite you to enter the festival as an active participant or observer. Many exciting events will take place during this eleven-day program. The participants will have an opportunity to work with prominent pedagogues in daily one-on-one coaching sessions (pianists will get 3 private lessons with 3 different professors, and chamber music groups will get coaches every day) as well as to participate in educational workshops and master classes that will be focusing on both piano solo and piano ensemble repertoire.

Chamber Music is an important part of the LIPF. Participants in chamber groups will have daily coaching and rehearsing, as well as masterclasses given by artists like Fabiola Kim, James Jin, Heejin Chang, Hsin-Yi Wu, Chia-Yi Tseng, Leo Singer, Julian Langford, and American String Quartet. The 2026 LIPF participants will also have an amazing opportunity to perform in recitals at the Barshinger Hall.

2026 LIPF Competition in both Piano Preliminary and Chamber Music take place virtually. Please see the details from the competition pages. Click here for daily activities.

In addition to the intensive festival's program, participants also have an opportunity to visit the Lancaster Amish County.

From master classes to guest recitals and enlightening lectures, the events of the 2026 Lancaster International Piano Festival will prove to be beneficial and inspiring to its participants as well as enhance Lancaster community with another significant cultural event. Don't miss your chance to join us this coming summer!
